About the Recipe
The Gladiator Soup is a shield in a bowl — lentils provide plant protein and fiber, turmeric and ginger reduce inflammation, and bone broth or veggie broth rebuilds the gut. This is a meal that restores savages for tomorrow’s battle.

Ingredients
1 cup lentils (rinsed)
3 carrots, diced
2 celery stalks, diced
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp turmeric powder (or fresh root)
6 cups low-sodium vegetable or bone broth
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Salt + pepper to taste
Preparation
Heat olive oil in a pot. Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Sauté until softened.
Stir in ginger and turmeric, cooking until fragrant.
Add lentils and broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 30 minutes.
Finish with lemon juice, salt, pepper. Garnish with herbs before serving.
