You Can't Haunt a Beast
Updated: 2 days ago
Good morning, Beasts.
I'm Richard Zimcic, a coach and trainer with SalesBEAST. If you're new here, some Mondays belong to me and some belong to Jayne, the sharpest coach I know. This one is mine, and it's for anyone carrying a few ghosts into the week.
You got hurt. Say it.
I'm not going to pretend with you. You've been hurt. There were deals you believed in, people you trusted, and paths you poured yourself into, and some of them fell apart right under your feet.
Maybe a client ghosted you after six weeks of work. Maybe someone told you how much they believed in you and then disappeared the minute things got heavy. That cuts deep. It's supposed to. People who care feel everything.
You kept showing up anyway
Here's what I want you to notice. There were days you didn't want to pick up the phone. Days you didn't want to fake the smile. And you still showed up. You still dialed. You still pitched. You stared rejection in the face and kept going.
Not because it didn't hurt. Because you refused to stay where they left you. That's the difference. Some people fall and stay down. You get back up with something to prove.
Let the pain teach you, then let it harden you
Pain isn't the enemy. It's information. It reminds you what you survived and who you really are. It reminds you that you don't need anyone's permission to be valuable.
Pain without purpose is just suffering. Pain with a plan is where beasts are made.
You don't feel less now. You feel more, and you lead with it. That's not soft. That's shatterproof.
Turn the scars into tools
I've coached a lot of people through a bad stretch, and the ones who come out strongest all do the same thing: they put the hurt to work. Here's how I want you to do it this week.
Name it. Write down the deal, the person, or the moment that still stings. One line each. Ghosts lose their power in daylight.
Pull the lesson. Next to each one, write what it taught you about your process, your prospects, or yourself.
Pick one habit. Turn the biggest lesson into one thing you'll do every day this week, like confirming next steps in writing before you hang up.
Make the calls you've been avoiding. Five of them. The ones that feel haunted. Dial them first, before your coffee gets cold.
Before you go
Today, let it all burn behind you. The betrayal, the heartbreak, the deals that slipped away. Not as pain, but as proof that you've got something nobody can take: a will to win that keeps coming back.
If this hit home, tap the heart and share it with someone who's been through the wringer lately. Drop a comment that says "You can haunt me, but you can't stop me." Then tell me which call you're making first.
That's Beast Mode.
Richard
