When Life Gut-Punches You – Keep Swinging
Updated: 1 day ago
Morning, Beasts. If today already feels heavier than you'd like to admit, this one is for you.
My name is Richard. I coach here at SalesBEAST, and I've spent a lot of years beside people on their hardest days, on the phone, across a table, sometimes just sitting on a dock in silence. On Mondays, Jayne or I show up here so you start the week with somebody in your corner. Today, that's me.
Sometimes life swings anyway
Let's talk about something real, my friend. Something few people are brave enough to say out loud. Sometimes life hits hard, and it doesn't always make sense.
You can do everything right. Work hard. Be loyal. Protect the people you love. And then, out of nowhere, life swings anyway.
The job is gone. The money runs thin. A diagnosis shows up. A relationship shatters. And you're left breathless, staring at the wreckage, asking, “What just happened, and how do I move forward?”
You don't need hype right now. You need hope with a spine.
Down is not done
So hear this. You may be down, but you're not finished. Setbacks are part of the journey, not the end of it. You weren't built to break. You were built to bend, to bleed, and to bounce back.
No matter how loud the world gets, your purpose is still whispering underneath the noise: “Get up. There's more in you.”
Now is the time to dig back in like you've got something to prove. Not to them. To you. To prove that no loss is permanent, that no failure gets the final word, and that no chapter of your story ends without your signature.
Your step by step comeback plan
Get up. Literally. Out of bed, dressed, and moving at a set time every morning, even if nothing else is decided.
Go quiet if you need to, but go. Write down the three things weighing on you most.
Pick the smallest useful action for each one. One call, one email, one page, one walk.
Do the first one before noon. Momentum starts small.
Reach out to one person who believes in you and tell them what you're rebuilding.
Every evening, write down one brick you laid today. Brick by brick, piece by piece, the wall goes back up.
Beasts don't retreat. They rebuild. We don't shrink from pain, we shape it. We don't run from rock bottom, we use it as a foundation. We don't dwell on what happened, we double down on what's next.
Success is still out there. But it never feels sorry for anyone. It rewards the people who keep swinging when most would stay down.
My friend Jayne has a steadiness I've leaned on more than once. She reminds me that slow progress is still progress, and on days like these, that's the truth that matters most.
My setback isn't my ending. I rise from rock bottom, and I rebuild stronger.
Before you go
If this reached you today, tap the heart. Share it with someone you know who is in the middle of a hard season and needs to hear they're not finished, and follow SalesBEAST so you never miss a Monday from me or Jayne.

In the comments, tell us the one brick you're laying this week. Still breathing? Then you're not done.
That's Beast Mode.
Richard
