Unleash Your Inner Sales BEAST: Finish August Strong
Updated: 5 days ago
Morning, Beasts.
I am Richard, coach and trainer at SalesBEAST, and I spent my Sunday with my head inside a boat motor that refused to start. Two hours, one stubborn fuel line, and plenty of words I will not print here, but she runs now. Every Monday you get me or Jayne, and today I am bringing that same stubbornness to the end of the month.
The final stretch of August
It is Monday, and we are officially entering the final stretch of August. For a lot of salespeople, that means the scoreboard is about to get very real. Quotas. Bonuses. Rankings.
Whatever number you have been chasing all month, the clock is running. So here is the question, my friend: are you going to coast into the finish line, or attack it?
Champions do not limp through the last week of the month. They accelerate.
Careers are built at the end of the month
Everybody loves the start of the month. Fresh pipeline. Fresh goals. Fresh energy.
But careers are built at the end of the month. When everybody else starts making excuses. When everybody else mentally checks out. When everybody else says, "I will get it next month." That is when the beast goes hunting.
There are still deals on the table. Still conversations to be had. Still people who need what you sell. And still plenty of time to change what this month looks like.
The opportunity you need might already be sitting in your CRM, waiting for you to stop thinking about it and start dialing. You do not have to feel motivated to take action. Sometimes action creates the motivation. Make one call. Then another. Momentum is a funny thing: once that beast starts moving, it gets harder and harder to stop.
Your end of month plan
Here is the map for the rest of August.
Set a clear goal for this week. Write it down and put it where you will see it every morning.
Prioritize your leads. Start with the highest potential prospects and stop feeding dead ends.
Circle back to everyone who told you, "Call me later." Later is now.
Use your CRM to track every touch and set your follow ups so nothing slips.
Ask for the business. Ask for the referral. Ask for the damn order.
At the end of each day, review what worked and what did not, and adjust tomorrow's plan.
Face your numbers head on
Whatever number is staring at you this morning, do not fear it. Chase it.
Jayne, by the way, keeps a cleaner pipeline than I keep my tackle box, and that is saying something, because I am proud of my tackle box. Her secret is no secret at all: she follows up calmly, every day, without drama. I have watched her quietly finish months that had me sweating. Take a page from her book.
Mindset matters. Believe you can hit the number. Picture the finish. And remind yourself every morning: I am a sales beast.
Today we work. Today we follow up. Today we prospect. Today we close. And on Friday, when you look back at this week, make sure you can say, "I left nothing on the field."
Shoulders back. Eyes forward. Phone charged. Pipeline open. Finish the month strong. Finish the week stronger.
Before you go
If you are finishing strong, tap the heart. Share this with the teammate you want sprinting beside you to the end of the month, and follow SalesBEAST so you never miss a Monday from me or Jayne.

That's Beast Mode.
