Where Have You Been All My Life?

Jayne here. If we haven't met, I'm a coach and trainer with SalesBEAST, I write from Florida, and I'm the one behind the recipes in my kitchen on this site. Some Mondays it's me, some it's Richard, and sometimes you get us both. Today it's me, and I want to talk about that moment when something finally clicks.
The moment it lands
Every once in a while, something hits you so clearly that it stops you in your tracks. It could be a person. It could be a client. It could be an opportunity. And when it lands, it feels like the universe is grinning at you and asking, where have you been all my life?
That's the energy I want you to bring to every single workday. Because here's the truth: most of the time, the opportunity was there all along.
It was never hiding
The life you want isn't playing hide and seek. It's standing right in front of you, tapping its foot, waiting for you to notice. The problem usually isn't the opportunity. It's that we're distracted, hesitant, or comfortable enough to look right past it.
I've done it. I spent a whole year telling myself I'd start my kitchen series someday. Someday is a lovely word for never. The day I finally filmed the first recipe, I remember thinking, why didn't I do this sooner?
The opportunity was never the problem. Waiting was.
Fall for your goals again
You know that rush when you meet someone who feels like the missing piece? That's what chasing your goals should feel like. Your business, your hustle, the thing you're building should light you up. If it doesn't anymore, it isn't gone. You just stopped paying attention to it.
So let's pay attention. Here's your week.
Look around before you look ahead. Write down three opportunities already in front of you: a past client, a referral you never asked for, a skill you've been sitting on.
Pick the one that scares you a little. That's usually the one that matters.
Give it the first hour. Before email, before scrolling, spend the first hour of Monday on that one opportunity.
Say it out loud. Tell one person what you're going after this week. Saying it makes it real.
