The Blackout Buffalo Chicken Wrap
Updated: 4 days ago

I'm Jayne Smythe, a coach and trainer with SalesBEAST, and I write these recipes from my kitchen in Florida, usually with music on and at least one unplanned dance break between chopping and plating. Healthy body, healthy mind is the rule I actually live by. This wrap exists because a client once admitted his entire lunch strategy was "whatever is closest to the register," and I decided he deserved better than that.
Cravings get loud when you have no plan, and they tend to peak right when your afternoon call block starts. I do not believe that is a coincidence. The Blackout Buffalo Chicken Wrap gives you heat, crunch, and real satisfaction without sending your discipline off a cliff.
It is high in protein, quick to put together, and built to stop the late afternoon hunger attack that usually leads straight to bad decisions, like eating stale cookies from the break room while you wait on a callback. Make two, eat one, and pack the other for tomorrow. Your follow ups deserve your full attention, not the half you have left over while your stomach complains.
This wrap brings the chaos without destroying the plan.
A quick note on prep, because I know you. Shred the chicken and mix the ranch on Sunday, keep both in the fridge, and this wrap comes together in about five minutes on a weekday. That is less time than it takes to decide what to order, and a lot less time than it takes to recover from a lunch that leaves you sluggish halfway through a demo. Plan it once, and your 1pm self gets a win without having to think about it.
Ingredients
Serves 2
2 cups shredded chicken breast
3 tablespoons buffalo sauce
2 large high fiber wraps
1 cup shredded lettuce
½ cup diced tomato
¼ cup diced red onion
¼ cup reduced fat cheese
½ avocado
Ranch: ½ cup Greek yogurt, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper
Directions
Coat shredded chicken with buffalo sauce.
Mix the Greek yogurt ranch.
Warm the wraps.
Add ranch, chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and avocado.
Fold, roll tightly, slice, and serve.
Why This Fuels a Beast
Chicken brings lean protein, and protein helps you feel full, so you are not raiding the vending machine before your 2pm call.
High fiber wraps digest slowly, which can help you stay full through a long stretch of dials.
Greek yogurt stands in for a heavy dressing and adds more protein while it is at it.
Avocado brings healthy fats, which make this wrap satisfying enough that you stop thinking about lunch and start thinking about your next conversation.
Buffalo sauce delivers big flavor with no fryer anywhere in the picture, so you get the game day feeling on a Tuesday afternoon.
Richard, who coaches down the hall from me and can talk a nervous rep off a ledge in under a minute, insists a buffalo wrap should be made with actual buffalo, meaning bison. I told him the skillet is all his.

Before you go
If this wrap saved your afternoon, give it a like, share it with the rep who eats lunch out of a vending machine, and follow SalesBEAST for more. Then tell me in the comments what you are eating before your biggest call this week. I read every one, and yes, I will raise an eyebrow at the gas station burrito.
That's Beast Mode.
